I used to drum but now I mum. Or at least that's the convoluted reason behind the title of this blog. But it's true, I am rolling with motherhood, and slowly realising that there's no right or wrong way to "do" the whole parenting thing.

This blog is a space for me to share some of my thoughts and experiences of pregnancy, childbirth and motherhood whilst I'm on maternity leave. This will, in theory, help prevent my brain turning to mush in between acting as my children's personal comedian, obsessively timing my baby's naps and trying to create more hours in a day than actually exist.
It'll be practical and no nonsense stuff, with only the occasional bit of sentimentality, and always with the caveat that these experiences are my own, and every baby and parent is different.
